Our available forex licenses in the Bahamas

The Bahamas forex broker licence — formally a Securities Industry Act (SIA) licence issued by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SCB) — authorises firms to conduct dealing in securities, which under Bahamian law covers forex, CFD trading, equities, and structured financial instruments for international clients.

Two dealing modes are available: Dealing as Principal and Agent (market-making authority, B-book operations) and Dealing as Agent Only (STP/A-book model, orders routed directly to liquidity providers). A market maker licence — as available on Legasset’s current offering — is the more commercially flexible structure, allowing the firm to act as counterparty to client trades.

Key parameters: physical presence in The Bahamas is mandatory — the SCB requires a registered office, and both the CEO and Compliance Officer must be Bahamas-resident and SCB-approved. Annual audited financial statements and quarterly interim reports are required. On tax: no corporate income tax, no capital gains tax, no withholding taxon profits generated outside The Bahamas. The SCB is a respected offshore regulator: FATF-compliant, Common Reporting Standards-aligned, and viewed favourably by US, UK, and European banking partners relative to many competing offshore jurisdictions.

This page covers SCB-licensed Bahamian securities dealer entities currently available for transfer, including at least one entity with an established market maker authorisation and multi-currency bank accounts in place.

The Legasset team covers the full Bahamas acquisition — SCB change-of-control filings, CEO and compliance officer onboarding, banking continuity, and post-transfer regulatory reporting.
