Ready-Made Cayman Islands Investment Management Licenses
Cayman Islands Investment Management Companies for Sale

The Cayman Islands investment management licence, issued by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA)under the Securities Investment Business Act (SIBA) and the Investment Fund Act, authorises firms to manage investment portfolios, provide discretionary and non-discretionary asset management, offer investment advisory services, and act as fund managers for both open-ended and closed-ended fund structures.
The Cayman Islands remain the world’s premier offshore fund jurisdiction: 0% corporate income tax, 0% capital gains tax, no withholding tax on dividends or interest, with CIMA regulation that provides institutional credibility while maintaining operational flexibility. By end of 2025, CIMA had over 12,000 licensed entities under its supervision, with continued growth in fund AUM.
In early 2026, the Cayman government introduced three amendment bills establishing the first legal framework for tokenised investment funds — opening fund management structures to digital asset investment alongside traditional securities. From 1 January 2026, CIMA consolidated annual fees into a single payment, simplifying reporting for licensed fund managers.
Minimum capital: USD 500,000 for a full investment management licence. CIMA requires fit-and-proper assessment of all directors and controllers, and any change of control triggers mandatory CIMA notification and approval.
Legasset supports the full acquisition — CIMA transfer filings, due diligence, governance restructuring, and compliance realignment for incoming management teams.
